Nicola Unger enjoys being an autodidact and suffers from having to do everything herself.
She tought herself graphic and audio programs, she publishes her own comics and collects them.
Next to her theater work she experiment with different media: installations, videos, publications.
Her interests consist of questions regarding: technology in everyday life, (optical) illusions, the horizon of human consciousness, family as a phenomena, fate and coincidence.
In 1999 she joined Dasarts, focussing on video animation, drawings and video work. She has extensively work as much on her own work, video montages as well as dramaturge for several performances and installations. She lives and work in Rotterdam.
She  graduated in Theater Science in Giessen, Germany.
