What is the name of the show?

Cuqui Jerez works on developing a choreographic language based on the body and its relationship to space, time and objects, the production of signs and their transformation through repetition, as well as the manipulation of audience references and expectations in the context of the theatre. Memory and structure are fundamental aspects of the work.

A pice created as part of the project The Neverstarting Story, a collaborative project by Amaia Urra, Cristina Blanco, María Jerez and Cuqui Jerez, four independent artists who usually work in a frontier area between choreography, performance, video and theatre, and insist that it is not about creating a mix of them all, but generating a new field, a line of escape that slides in between. Here they've found a way to collaborate and work together without the need for consensus as a prerequisite, that is, conserving their independence within the project. These four directions have resulted in two performances: The Set Up, by Cristina Blanco and The Rehearsal, by Cuqui Jerez; one movie: The Movie, by María Jerez; one video installation: The Thing, by Amaia Urra; and one collaboratively created short film: Cinthy Tuloh.
