Mireia de Querol i Duran

She started studies of dance in different schools. For two years (2001-2003) she shared in La Aula de Danza the UAB, managed by Carles Salas. From 2003 she opted for profesional training in dance and passed on the Superior Degree of Contemporary Dance (BA Modern Theatre Dance) in the Theatreschool, Amsterdam School of the Arts (AHK), in Holland, 2003-2007.

In parallel she also passed on the degree of Humanities in the Univesidad Autónoma of Barcelona. Professionally she has worked with the Japanese choreographer Kenzo Kusuda in different productions and with the Company Danza Plan B, managed by Arantxa Sagardoy. She has also worked with emergent choreographers as Albert Quesada in Solos Bach and Gould, Angela Lamprianidou in Sitz and Ariadna Estalella. As choreographer she has created Maisema, el paisatge de la pròpia por (Maisema, the landscape of the fear itself), in residence in the Civic Center La Barceloneta (2007-2008), and Charles, Mireia i altres (Charles, Mireia and others), in residence in the Teatre La Unió de Sant Cugat and in the Civic Center Les Corts. (2008-2009). In the version 2009 of the project 3 procesos de creación created together with Mara Smaldone the piece Escenes amb tu (Scenes with you), presented in several spaces, recently in the Teatre Tantarantana and Casa Elizalde.
As complement to her formation has taken part in different workshops of contemporary dance with professionals as Jordi Cortés, Carmelo Salazar, Àngels Margarit, Arantxa Sagardoy, Roberto Oliván, Thomas Noone, Robert Stein, Anouk go Dijk, Andrés Corchero, Nik Haffner, Jeremy Nelson, Kirstie Simson, Berta Bermudez, among another.
